Ireland national team is good team and Iranian fans should not underestimate them because Iran national team did not go to world cup 2002 in South Korea and Japan too. They problem in that Team Melli was Ali Karimi he did not do nothing except showing off his dribbling moves and Ali Daie was Isolated by Irish defenders and Iran mid fields they did not do good job either. And last thing our coach that was suck big time that putting Mirzapour in goalkeeper except Rahmati, Boroumand, and so on.

@AUDEL84 I think Iran and Iraq, if they were given more mainstream coverage and had players in europe, would be a force to be reckoned with in international football, primarily because they are so organised

@cooldood581 I was in Azadi stadium. Iran was better at his home. Iran had like 5-6 good opportunities but Ireland just one. Given qualified Ireland! Maybe if Iran had Abedzadeh...

Thanks for the class vids, I remember this game being the most intimidating of atmospheres that an Irish team will ever experience, but we qualified and thats all that mattered. Great memories
