Eileen Donaghy(1930-2008) possibly at her best.I must have some 8 LP's by her,not always with such a delicate accompaniment as the Irish harp. This song creates a style in the direction of the near-perfect Mary O'Hara.Mary had a brilliant
soprano-like voice,Eileen was more a middle-of-the-road folksinger, but again,in this particular song she scores high points. It's amazing how long her voice sounded young. Her version should be a standard for younger singers, pure and obeying Irish traditions

Eileen Donaghy in a lovely rendition of an old County Down song.
