everybody likes the battlefield scene the most, but the whole shindig w/ Syd is my personal fav part: "What ya got there? Let me see, cmon." rah, sledgehammer!!!!

@macgeek2004 Yep, when recommending this movie to friends, it is best to not tell them anything about it... Just tell them they are better off not knowing what it's about at all.
I had no idea what the movie was about the first time I saw it, and it's one of the best movies I have ever seen.

the only part of the film where theo uses violence towards another human being, and he looks devastated after doing so. brilliant acting, directing, subtleties...brilliant film.

It's like the film equivilent of litterature. Seriously.
It takes place in the year 2027. In 2009, everyone in the world mysteriously went infertile. EVERYONE. No person is capable of producing a child. NO ONE. That's all I'll say. This is a movie best enjoyed for the first time if you no nothing about it. In fact, I've probably said too much in this paragraph.
But it's DEFINATELY sci-fi.

And it's also one of those REALLY good movies that contain absolutely NO plot, background, or character exposition. You're just thrown into the world, and you (the viewer) have to figure things out for yourself. There is a reason for EVERYTHING YOU SEE, and no prop, no matter how miniscule, was maticulously placed by the director for a reason.

Why this movie didn't get promoted? It shows the world were we'll be in 20 years if we carry on this way. Why would any institution want that?
But that said "Children of Men" is THE movie to watch if you love sci-fi, action and thinking.
