No sound here! - Vague memories of these programmes on maths, but never paid enough attention to them. The colours were mesmerising and fairly hypnotic so enjoyed using my imagination with the symbols.

I think I have a retro-crush

You can just see the dots saying "Oh, noooo!! It's the square!! RUN!!!"

@thomasking55 Wasn't this the programme that had the 'Marching Shapes'?? I remember a wierd animation from an early 80's maths school programme with loads of changing shapes and the sound of trrops whistling and then they stop and you hear the sargeant major shout at them and then they all form back into their original shape...
No one else I know remembers this?!?! I would pay good money to find it... it must have been another episode of basic maths I reckon.

You can never teach a proper understanding of maths in parrot fashion like this.

Hell yeah and was a kid watching this stuff! ERRR!
-
completley agree with you... creepy animation
-
The programme ended seconds later on that same scene, cue the credits!
-
What the hell is going on in that animation???
It's little wonder I used to be scared of going in the staff room to watch some of these educational programmes.
Funny how presenters back then would imagine there was a monitor off screen they would be watching some video on...
Fred is nice, and wearing a tie on TV was obviously still OK to do. I like ties myself...
