I saw this movie and was very let down - maybe the great Caravaggio was sexually deviant- I don't really care about that. But this interpretation in my view was overpowered by 'artistic license' by the film maker. I hoped to see an accurate dramatised documentary style instead of this with scenes containing a diesel lorry for example which seemed completely out of context.
I hope someone can tell me the title of a better version of Caravaggio's brief life story??

Interesting. I think due to the low budget they chose to put the actors in modern dress rather than in period costume.
