This guitar comes from Fender's Chinese Production too and it is one of the best Thinline Telecaster Guitars I've ever played with! Tremendous sound (even fat at bass-strings but with crisp and bite at upper strings!), awesome style, wonderful materials, quality pick-ups, intonation, paint-job, set-up, fretboard ... there was nothing to change ... I plugged in and played ... I think this one is also a 'keeper' ... and look at that price ... incredible!!
