This blender tutorial is the fourth in my game engine tutorial series. this one will teach you how make a collectible key that you will then use to open a door.

Here is the link to the file that has been developed from the previous tutorials in the series - http://www.mediafire.com/?xj4wmmgjm1j

  • you dont have to do all that coding, all you need is 1 senser, controller and an actuator both of them. select your key and your door, add a collision senser for both of them, add a controller for both of them, then add an (edit object) actuator for the key, and set it to end object. add an (IPO) actuator on your door, then cennect them up. once you do that conect your key's senser to the doors controller.then it should work

  • hey

for coins how do you make it take it away from the player when u like press enter or whatever near a person.

  • @neverunderstanding

I had the same problem, But I think I might have figured out a solution... Make sure the objects you select don't have keyframes and make sure you don't have the settings on record. Other wise it will create another keyframe and will be a big pain. Hope thats helpful

  • Can you male a video on how to make two keys that operate seperate doors? Thx.

  • HHHHHHHEEEEELLLLPPP!!!!

  • it lets me select both of them but only one of them shows up in logic not both
