**SOLD OUT**Tickets still available for Minneapolis on Aug. 23 at the Cedar or in Chicago on Sept. 12 outside the Hideout** Throughout the year, Bloodshot Records is celebrating their 15th anniversary with special tours, releases, events and more! The 15th Anniversary Beer-B-Qs will capture the vibe that Bloodshot honed over the years at their Yard Dog SXSW party in Austin Texas. There will be a day's worth of music, food, beer, friends and reminders about why we keep doing this. As for the music; "Justin Townes Earle is living proof that despite the freak show that is modern day Nashville, there are still artists out there who revere the deep roots of the American musical tradition while still pushing the boundaries to create something new and wonderful." (PopMatters.com) The Waco Brothers mix of hellfire country and mournful punk truly inspire. They never fail to entertain with their train wreck approach to country. The Deadstring Brothers' heart beats with pure rock and roll. Simple and shor 'nuff. Built on the unshakable foundations of blues, rock, country and soul, DSB manages to create something at once totally fresh but totally recognizable. "If Uncle Tupelo is the Beatles of the alt-country movement, the Bottle Rockets are certainly the Rolling Stones. Featuring a brash, in-your-face sound with as much of a Lynyrd Skynyrd influence as Gram Parsons." (Spartanburg Herald-Journal) Ha Ha Tonka specialize in disarming and effortless anthems that owe as much to high and lonesome Ozarks mountain music as chugging college rock. With a big-as-the-room persona, an ability to rock the doors off the most jaded of clubs, the heart to hold a room completely still with just his guitar, and a genius for arrangement, Bobby Bare Jr. and his band of merry makers are one of the most unique bands around. Deano Waco describes the new project with The Meat Purveyors, imagine a marriage of their bluegrass on steroids, my songs and primitive, crunchy guitar and you'll get the picture. There will also be an art show on display by Yard Dog Gallery.
