@rico6297 No it isn't. I Talked to Brandon from Microsoft and he told me that " It is not the next logical extension of the “Flight Simulator” franchise." But also he told me that "“Microsoft Flight” will have new structured gameplay" and with the focus on the universal appeal of the experience of flight. We believe the simplicity of “Microsoft Flight” perfectly captures that vision"
More than likely, it wont be a "simulator".

@korfx04 I've tried the beta and I can confirm it has lots of arcade elements to it
Such as a new HUD, cheesy control schemes and they noobed out the game so even a 5 year old can play it.
