I'm using a cheap digital delay pedal set to a long delay time and only one repeat. Once you get the delay time in your head, you just keep the rhythm and play along with the repeated parts like a sort of "call and response". Makes kind of a cool sound!

  • Genius with the delay :D

  • @49skate Thanks! I appreciate it!

  • Pretty cool! :D ... and can you also record a simple shuffle rhythm and than play it so that it keeps repeating over and over while you play to it? like with the loop-pedal and a guitar.. ,p

  • @TomTheHarmonicaKid Hi Tom. A delay pedal only plays back what you JUST played, so it can't continuously repeat a phrase like a looping pedal does (which is why you NEED a looping pedal to do that kind of looping). I'm just using the delay pedal to "respond" to my "call" here. You can get a neat sound like that, that sounds like there are multiple people playing at once, but it's not really true looping. Hope that helps!

  • nice sound
