@heyhihellohowdy Yes you can. With the Kindle Fire, you would connect it to your computer via USB. Drag and drop the music files to the Music folder on your Kindle. You can also upload music to your Amazon Prime account if you have one.

@7devinsalb I think the average book is about $12. The battery life varies, I get about 8 hours if I use it non-stop.

which do you prefer, the kindle fire or the nook tablet? i have a choice between the two and i just don't know.i will be mostly using it for reading, sometimes movies, and occasionally for games (car rides, planes etc...). Which do you think is right for me?

@Miglink1234 Yes, you can watch YouTube on the Kindle Fire. You can connect an aux cable to the headphone jack in your car, or a USB cable to access your music files like a giant thumb drive.
