u might have to see erykah in concert to appreciate her true skills. when she's on point her performance can be amazing. ssaw her back 04-05 in DC 9:30 club & she tore the roof off the spot with her versionof chaka & rufus's, "stay." & i'm a chaka khan fan who thinks nobody should ever try & sing her songs, but ms. badu owned "stay that night." she can go much higher that she generally sings. but i love both jill & her as well as many other female vocalists.
