The following film, commissioned by NHS West Midlands, presents the case for why frontline social care staff and carers should get vaccinated against swine flu to protect their service users, their colleagues, their families and friends and, of course, themselves.
To help build resilience across the system, it is vital that frontline social care staff and carers now take the opportunity to be vaccinated against swine flu as quickly as possible to ensure that they do not become ill, and just as importantly that they cannot unknowingly infect colleagues and service users, who may feel the effects much more severely than them.
