The war in Iraq is at the heart of
the instability in the Middle East.
It is now the third-longest running
war in U.S. history: longer than the
American Civil War, WWI, WWII, and the Korean War.

Only the Philippine-American and
Vietnam Wars have lasted longer.

Over 4,000 U.S. troops have been
killed and nearly 30,000 wounded.

Some estimates put the Iraqi death toll
at over 655,000 since the war began
in early 2003.

The United Nations estimates that more
than 2,000,000 Iraqis are now refugees
in neighboring countries.

And more than 1,900,000 are internally
displaced within Iraq (roughly 1/6 the country's population)...

Why do we deserve better? He was elected twice!!! It's not too late....at least not yet, but unless someone impeaches Bush/Cheney......what can I say?

Lord knows, Dennis Kucinich is trying. I heard an interesting stratagem from a pundit

the other day: If the Repubs want a real chance in 2008; 'they' will impeach Bush/Cheney.

In any event, I will continue to update the U.S. death toll in this video (I originally

They doctor the stats on soldier deaths by not counting a soldier who dies on a plane back to Rammstein or wherever and they won't count it also if the soldier dies in the hospital outside of Iraq. Government doctored numbers.

crowd currently in Washington, D.C. Go to the YouTube channel, 'Madmustard' and view the video, 'Gingrich Is Correct'. I'm not a Gingrich fan--but this piece underscores, how 'we' Americans 'deserve' better. I truly hope America heeds his advice. PS If interested you'll also find
