  • this whole series is GREAT. I LOVE IT.

i am a self taught whistle player who memorizes tunes and plays by-ear. I have not been around other players, so I am so happy to find that the techniques i use to add style to my playing are actually the right thing to do - adding cuts and checks (or whatever the lesson 6 called them). VERY INSPIRING ~ thank you

  • just keep teaching us!this is great!thanks a lot!love to the irish people and music

  • Mr.Duns, stop saying "two times" grammatically it should be "twice". Gad, thick Irish =) Only joking.

  • what kind of whistle is that that you are using

    great lessons

  • I perform with Robin Mark tonight in Bel Air Maryland wit our band. This has helped me greatly and I will use some of these helps from you. Thanks so much!

  • @celtic4ever18 hahahaha... I know what you mean, except my entire family is barking!

  • the dogs of my neighbours are barking when i play whistle

  • THANK YOU MR DUNS YOU ARE THE BEST

  • he might have better intonation too. if you blow too hard, the whistle is sharp, and if you blow to slowly, it is flat. tricky :P . . .

  • is the transition from a pipe chanter to a tin

whistle easier? i feel like i could just pick that thing up and and play scot wha hea and stuff...

do most pipers have an edge at learning this?

    thankyou.

  • This instrument is used by and Australian band called the Bush Wackers. Their music is called 'bush' music, but it's based on traditional Irish tunes.

    Thanks for the great tuition.
