This is the title sequence for the yet-to-be produced but dearly loved "High Cotton," a screenplay written by O'Neal Compton. This sequence was filmed in 35mm in one day on location in St. Matthews, South Carolina, September, 1997 and was directed by O'Neal Compton. The making of this short title sequence is featured in the documentary film, Celluloid Baby, by Charlotte Wetzel (Berlin, 2000.)

  • My sister is the little girl in the carriage

  • The video is absolutely great and captures the area's history, tradition, culture. I am a part time resident of Yonges island. Though I was not alive in 1905, there exist remnants today of the activities and traditions. Of course one can read and listen to these stories but it is film that drives the message with more realism and emotion.

  • Neal! Its your cousin Kristin Carter :) How are you!? This is good, when is it going to be finished?

  • Glad you like it. Another 100 minutes and it will be a major motion picture! hehe.
