I thought this video was very helpful. I've had a bamboo steamer sitting on top of my cupboards for about 2 years without even knowing what it was or how it got there (to be honest, I thought it was a bamboo case for jewelry or something, lol). After finding out what it really was, this simple video made using it very clear to me. All of the negative comments make me smile. Because everyone had Gordon Ramsay teaching them how to cook while they were growing up, right?
