I was also born in Selma and I have to disagree. There is violence here but violence is EVERY where you go! Yes I get tired of Selma sometimes but I cherish it's history and the African Americans who fought during the Civil Rights Movement so that WE can have an oopurtunity. People always down Selma, but if it wasn't for Selma we WOULDN'T be where we are today!

What u r saying is correct...I like Prattville more than selma also, even though I live in selma.I have also lived in Prattville. But the Walmarts arent that different.Actually they are a lot alike.the only thing different is the one in Prattville has lots of whites and the one in Selma has lots of blacks.

I would have to agree with you drtysowth05. I was born in selma, and i can't stand to stay in selma longer then a day. People let there kids run wild every where, and wounder why there is so much violence there.

the only racism in selma is against whites from the black population!!! it would be much better if all of us were crazy conservatives!!! thats why all of us have to go to prattville just to go to a decent wal mart

I live in the area and drive around with enviromental and obama bumper stickers displayed on it. Surprisingly, the misconception that all people in the area being crazy, racist conservatives is just that, a misconception.
Also, a look at the bridges side during a sunset makes a perfect circle on the water. Makes a nice photograph and those are hard to come by in Selma, Alabama
