I remember during a Bach Festival competition in the late 90s a judge told me that the hidden challenge in Bach's music comes from the unforgiving nature of mistakes. Even the smallest slip is much more noticeable in Bach's music compared to other composers, where with other composers you can make runs through small errors. The simplicity of Bach's compositions forces us to be technically flawless. Bach is a genius in that regard. Difficulty in simplicity is genius.
I do make one mistake in this video. It's very noticeable!
