This Blu-Ray laser with driver circuit can be purchased on Ebay for about $50 and the current eBay listings can be found here: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/benmcntsh

It comes with a free enclosure that can be modified as shown in the video. The blue laser will instantly charge up any glow-in-the-dark or phosphorescent material. This video also shows how to make your own glow-in-the-dark slime.

  • @MrErikLand You can buy it at just about any art supply store. We bought ours at Michael's.

  • Oh and does Glow in the Dark paint have a lifespan

  • We used a piece of white card stock to paint on, but anything should work. I'm not sure about spray paint because we really globbed on the paint. Our laser was set to 60 mA and it would glow for a good 10 minutes. I'm not sure about the lifespan of the paint but some companies claim that their glow paint lasts for 20 years!

  • why do violet lights work good on glow in the dark stuff but at the other end of the spectrum it become less effective

    i ordered my stuff a few hours ago and im waiting for it to come in =] going to be making a 150mW blu ray laser, im going to make it able to run off of any wall outlet as well as off a voltage regulated 9 volt battery. =P going to be awesome, but very nice video :D
