Fox Mating Call

Something like this happened to me too; I heard this noise about a year ago, and the next day I was arrested for murder; I was held in a cell for three days before they let me out because of lack of evidence (also there was no body found and no missing persons reported in the area). Someone suggested to me that it might have been a fox (I live next to a fox sanctuary).
I was fired from my job, my wife left me, and all my friends and family think I'm a murderer.
Foxes ruined my life.

We have foxes (whom we love & share our food with occasionally) and there is one currently making this sound every night, like a short howling as she or he strolls the perimeter of the territory. I assume it means, 'eff off, this place is mine' or it's a call for a mate, or both. Any answers? and which sex makes this particular sound? Re dogs chasing foxes,unless some *sshole on a horse has a pack of dogs trying to run down a fox, a fox can always outrun or outsmart a dog. Thank God for that.

When I was a kid I would hear this ALL THE TIME in Virginia... I would always think theres a girl who is getting raped or something. :o

@almarchuk Thank God, I thought you were one of those bastards wth the hounds.

@davidh936 hunting is awesome.

@Everyone yelling at the uploader:
Guys, he meant that the dog just wanted to chase the fox, that's not abnormal for a dog. He just phrased it weird. My dog chased foxes all the time. Doesn't mean she caught them, but still. Just putting my two cents in.

@almarchuk he saying hunting is wrong, wich i agree with. Wether or not u were hunting or not i don`t know
-
@almarchuk "ready to be loosed on the fox" gives me the impression you want the dog to tear the fox to shreds.
-
@JamieSteveLee then they're not very good friends and your wife is disloyal. all this matrimony shit when we get married is a waste of time when it means nothing.
No offense, but if it was me who 'lost all this' because of a fox, i'd damn well make it clear to them that it WAS a fox. If they choose not to accept that as the truth, then i return to my point that they were NOT good companions or friends in the first place to doubt you so quickly.

@almarchuk Let the fox be, dickwad.
What do you mean when you said the dog is ready to be loosed on the fox?If it means what I think it means,then you are a really nasty person.

I have no idea what you think it means, but it means the dog wants to be UNTIED so he can CHASE the fox. Whatever nasty thing you are thinking of to assume I am a nasty person was not what I intended. Unless.... you think that my dog chasing a fox makes me a nasty person.... then you would be right.
