@7ito1990 I cannot predict the future, but I can vouch for what I have already experienced. After 24 years my sleep paralysis (among other symptoms) was only getting worse and more frequent. A 24-hr sleep study confirmed Narcolepsy. I don't feel that meds have blocked me from being free. On the contrary, they have helped me tremendously. I have never felt more alive than the past 5 years, or awake enough to really enjoy my life, my children, or my grandchildren. I never want to go back.

Curious though that in a certain exorcism movie I think Emily Rose, it's said that the meds made her case worse, and set her locked from getting free.

Sleep Paralysis is but one of several symptoms of Narcolepsy. They've got meds for this.. i take 25mg clomipramine hydrochloride generic for Anafranil. Talk to your doctor to refer you to a Sleep Therapist or Neurologist specializing in Sleep Meds.. Your nights will be so much better!!!
