I made this Frankenstein by using an old guitar, some wood and a cello bridge I bought on ebay. No severe damage was done on the guitar...;)
I just unscrewed the neck and place some piece of wood here and there making just 4 extra holes on the neck bottom. I mounted just 2 strings: it is much more playable in this way (by one who does not play violin or cello!). The cello bridge was adjusted so that when you play in most of the neck (up to 12 fret) it stays in tune.
Maybe in the future i will rise the pickups, too, with some wood. For now i played it "acoustic" with a violin bow, recording it live with a zoom H4N (no post-processing).
It was soon after i finished building it, so i'm actually improvising and making a lot of noise! :)
