@IshidaTheQuincy They did because when Capcom released MM8 for the Saturn, Sony knew what a mistake that was and begged for CAPCOM to do a PSX port of it under a condition.

I assume Capcom removed Cut Man and Wood Man as well as their BGMs from the PlayStation version of Mega Man 8 in revenge to Sony Computer Entertainment flexing their corporate power on them for this game's release.
