A tribute to Charles Bronson's character in the movie 'The Mechanic'. Bronson was a master of stoicism, and Sergio Leone once refered to him as 'The Granite face of destiny'.
Heres hoping I captured some of that in this video.

What I'd like to know is, what the heck Morricone's music's got to do with Bronson... Don't make people laugh. ANY actor can be a "master of stoicism" on the screen: see Jean Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, Bruce Willis. Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwartznegger, Audie Murphy... the whole company... ridiculous Hollywood. What's the need for a "tribute"... To me, Bronson's face rather reminds the "Cheshire cat".

Bronson remakes don't because there's only one Bronson. Same for guys like Clint Eastwood, although Hollywood has never been able to leave an idea that has worked before alone. There is certainly no new star that I'm aware that could come close to pulling off Bronson, but I guess if anyone could do it, it would be Stallone. Otherwise, want are you gonna do, cast Brad Pitt and put a little smudge on his face to make him look tough? Tell him to scowl all the time? LOL

Death Sentence wasn't officially a remake of Death Wish, it was just a really similar revenge story. But I agree it was pretty bad.

I love this movie...I can't wait for the remake to see if Jason Statham and Ben Foster do it just. Ben Foster is a great actor.
