I really have not much as far as ideas go, but have you ever attended Divergence Movie night at Raw Sugar cafe? It's once a month. A friend of mine organizes it, and as far as I know, some pretty awesome people attend. It's not much, but it's better than nothing.

Haha the multitasking issue! But no tips, not enough experience but the other issue about the strangers, knowing someone first, maybe being friends first and then ask a person out. I have that too. Pity enough it makes dating lot harder.

@xhollywood8 Or they already know me and aren't interested. Done the bar thing and tried on-line dating and never got a date. Not to mention I am not all about the bar scene and don't think that is a great environment to meet people as they tend to be under the influence.

There are TOTALLY women at queer (not lesbian) events and activist-y type things in Ottawa into trans guys. Well, within my age range I can say yes, for a fact (24 yrs). If you go to more intellectual-ish type events, I find you get less weird chaser types, and actually meet cool people/can get to know them before. But, that is my (very) limited experience as a small boyish type who does not pass fantastically, all the time, atm.
