@GTLargo21 The NES version uses the same gradually rising attack-strength meter that's shown in this video, and roughly the same character design, setting design, and style of play. That meter is the most striking similarity. The player in this video doesn't seem to pay much attention to it though.
on another note, awesome gameplay, it looks like an awesome game... actually, upon looking at details, I believe that the game Astyanax for the NES could be a sequel to this game... because there are similarities in the enemies and the way the character moves.
Actually, i don't think this arcade and the NES game hold any relation... this arcade is called "The" Astyanax, where as the NES game is simply known as Astyanax. This is just my analogy of course.

thanks for posting this video. i didnt even know this was an arcade game. Its nothing like the NES version which is also pretty fun.
