What the hell are you even saying? The old Sonic games were about speed AND platforming. Hell, look at the dictionary definition of 'sonic':

I'm glad Sega finally realized 3D gaming wasn't cut out for Sonic. I just hope they try to capture some nostalgia from the Genesis games and not make this extremely kiddie.

if capcom can make a megaman 9 with old school graphics, i dont see why sega cant make a sonic 4.

I understand your point dude! In the old sonic games it was about choice!!! To go fast or to platform! The new ones is just speed speed (let go of the controller have a cup of tea) speed.

Hell yeah, It's about fucking time. I love Sonic. I hope they make the music reminiscent of the Genesis games. Oh and, NO VOICE ACTING PLEASE..
