I can see it from both sides, I enjoy eatting meat, but I will admit there is a disconnection with where its come from. Some cultures have an emotional connection with their meat before they eat it, modern society just buys meat from the mechanized killing factory. When we get it, it hard to imagine that it used to have a face. Yet it tastes so good.
I really can't see what you have against eating fish that are caught in the ocean. They can be born in a "natural" environment. If we don't eat them they will probably be eaten by another fish anyway. Would you eat fish that are caught in a humane manner in the ocean?
If there was an awful drought and there were no crops, would it be okay to kill and eat animals then? To save human lives, babies?
What do you mean by artificial? That is a pretty arbitrary thing to say. Humans evolved on this earth by natural processes just like everything else. Therefore, everything humans do is natural. Why do environmentalists and animal rights people always insist humans are destroying the natural state of the earth etc. WE ARE PART OF NATURE, PRODUCTS OF NATURE. Our livestock production is just as natural as anything a wild animal does. Furthermore, the earth is dynamic, there is no natural state.
In our society, in ALL societies, an animal that is consumed by humans dies by ARTIFICIAL means. It is raised and then slaughtered, or hunted with guns. There are no places where humans wait for an animal to die of natural causes and THEN eat it. I don't eat meat because I KNOW how barbarically and inhumanely animals are raised and slaughtered. But if tomorrow, a cow dies on my lawn of natural causes and it is the only source of food available, I might consider eating it. But only then.
Don't flatter yourself. I just like arguing on youtube. I could just as well be arguing with a guy. I couldn't respond to your comments on the other video. Not sure why. If you don't want to continue the conversation then say so, or don't respond. I am really interested in your answer to "if an animal dies naturally from old age, is it wrong to then eat it?" Is it immoral to eat animals or is it just not compassionate?
Ok, looks like you're stalking me now. Creepy. I'm not against abortion. I'm against making abortion illegal. Abortion is not a pleasant thing -- it's, first and foremost, traumatic and risky for the mother. I believe that instead of focusing on making abortion illegal, we should focus on figuring out ways to prevent unwanted pregnancies through better sex education.
Oh good, you fight for human rights. I am glad to hear you are against abortion. You go girl. Tell me, if the animal dies naturally from old age, is it wrong to then eat it?

Wait sherribailey75...
You say, in the same breathe, that you are against the slaughter of animals, but you are NOT against the slaughter of infants still in the womb???
You must be a PETA person, who we all know, are some screwed-up-in-the-head morons. And your statement justifies that reasoning.
