Recorded on Feb. 25, 1971. Meant for the Straight Up album, which was delayed, as it went through many rejections and three producers. A strong rocker by Pete Ham

Glad I'm still around to hear it !! If Pete had overcome his demons - I know he would have had me back working with him further down the line. RIP gentlemen.

It was released but it sounded like muddy crap. Dan does a far better job mastering this stuff.

Gorgeous rocker, so typical of Pete's great skills. Would have made a great single. Dan, I love the lightning bolt effect :-) Ron Griffiths, bless you and thanks for sharing so much.

I just keep thinking about all the songs that might have been if things had played out differently. I hope Stan Polley is rotting in hell.

This song is a great balance between rock and pop, precise and concise. I'm sure it would have gotten a lot of airplay had this version of Straight Up been released in 1971.

I agree...but it is better to have it than not. I wish they would have done a better job than they did. I prefer the original LP's.

Ron - to imagine you and Pete reunited, recording together again after the fall of Badfinger - if only that was how the story had played out...

That is NOT Joey's lead guitar. It's Pete Ham. As Mike said, he did all the parts except the bass and drums. Even Joey acknowledged that in an interview.
