Michael Bloomberg New York City Term Limits

Michael Bloomberg wants to sanitize New York City by imposing limits on the use of vehicles and bicycles, imposing tolls on bridges, building luxury condos that nobody can afford, and by forcing the inhumane deportation of homeless people (can we call them refugees?), who are being displaced by Mayor Bloomberg as an election year ploy.

According to David W. Chen and Marjorie Connelly (6/9/2009), a poll conducted by the New York Times, NY 1 and Cornell University suggests that a majority of New Yorkers think Bloomberg does not deserve another term.

As fear increases in response to the economic downturn, confidence in Bloomberg's ability to lead the city out of the recession has plummeted. This is a troubling sign for Bloomberg, whose entire justification for seeking to circumvent the will of the people as expressed in the term limit law was that his business expertise would be indispensable in these tough times.

According to the polls, 51 percent of New Yorkers believe the city is on the wrong track; over one-third were not able to answer when asked what they thought was the best thing Bloomberg has done as mayor.

King Bloomberg is a good guy but it's time for him to go. I thought Clinton was a good president but you know the terms when you take the job. You can't change the rules as you go along.

I agree. I wanted Clinton for a 3rd term, but the rules are the rules. As much as a 3rd Clinton term would have prevented needless wars (Iraq), Term limits exist for a reason. Time for change; time for Bloomberg to go. No third term !

As a homeless person who was born and raised in queens, this video hit hard and hurts. I NEVER thought I would be homeless! I 'm from Queens and where did they stick us, the South Bronx. And what was the reason for knocking down the old Yankee Stadium ? I could have found better ways to spend that money in thiis community riddled with drugs,guns and gangs. Bloomberg made major budget cuts to the Public Advocates office and is trying to do away wth it all together. How convenient!!

NYU is the second coming of Robert Moses: NYU will tear down anything in its path that prevents its further "development." And Bloomberg and the City Council do nothing to stand up to NYU, absolutely nothing. Things have got to change.
