Airport Operations
Flying W Airport
Lumberton, New Jersey
Saturday October 11, 2008
IN THIS VIDEO, watch as some Cessna 172s and a Piper Cherokee take off and land (respectively) at Flying W on Runway 1. You will also see an Edge 540 come in to land. There was a car show on the airport, which also brought out a handful of aerobatic aircraft, and I sort of regret not shooting all of the aerobatic aircraft.
Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

nice overhead approach by the last guy, was he expecting heavy fire from the tree line or something?

why would you go spotting cessnas?

The guy in the edge probably always slips, so he can see the runway a little better on approach, you'll see alot of pitts pilots do that, or anyone who flys an aircraft with limited approach visibility

looks like the extra was slipping on purpose, keeping the speed down after the sharp descent

nice video, looks like that extra caught itself in a bit of slip there.
