The ACTUAL Possibility of a Dead Silence 2 Film (READ DESCRIPTION)

For those of you who have seen the movie Dead Silence and liked it, there may actually be finally a second one to it. Dead Silence was created by the directors and writers of SAW, and since SAW is now finished a lot of people have actually been requesting a Dead Silence 2. The movie cost $20 million to create and made a profit of $20 million, it didn’t do so well, but since SAW is done and the SAW fanatics will be craving more movies like SAW it has been thought of to jump start Dead Silence. The sales of the DVD have actually gone up over the past few months; although the movie came out in 2007 I personally know literally hundreds of people who have bought it over the past year.

I think if it can be made more known that people want a Dead Silence 2 movie and for it to keep going, then maybe it’ll get done. There has been a rumor that the character in the Dead Silence series, (Mary Shaw) is actually related to John Kramer from the SAW series. I have read a few fan reports saying it would be a way to keep SAW alive in some way and make the Dead Silence franchise happen. Have appearances of Tobin Bell as John Kramer, have them as distant cousins or something, where they’re work is being discussed, traps from SAW get shown created on Dead Silence. (all of this of course before the death of John) Give Mary Shaw a longer back story and have her related to John Kramer would be an amazing idea.

What do you guys think? (obviously like all the Dead Silence movies would be like prequels because John Kramer and Mary Shaw are dead)

The best two horror movies, the SAW series and Dead Silence, and the best themes ever used in movies are these two themes.

I don't think it would make much sense if mary shaw were to be related to john since she was killed sometime in the early 1900's, so it would just kinda make the plot a bit awkward to connect the saw franchise with a movie like Dead silence, seeing how the movie is about a haunting a and saw is about people being tortured by a psycho path, it wouldn't really make much sense.

I have studied film when it comes to horror. I have studied horror books too.

THAT is what makes film scary. Tasing your audience with a taste. Letting their imaginations fill in the blanks

One's own mind can be scarier than anything put on the big screen. That was what PA and Blair Witch were all about

I'm a fan of old school horror, which is why I like Blair Witch and PA. They qwere about the build up and suspense, rathewr than showing you everything. They weren't about special effects. They weren't about shocking you. They were about realism, and suspense, which was how it used to be in horror films

Too many horror films have scares every few minutes. Horror is not about that. It's about build up. Giving the audience a little tast of something, and slowly pulling away
