Actually, at this point, the issue is not the reality of the sword: It is the length.
The depressing, unspeakable, "I can't believe someone is using a weapon that size two-handed and actually thinking it looks real, good, or even tolerable" length.
Seriously man, my advice: Go watch 'Ed Wood', realize the mistakes you have made, and don't ever make them again.
PT: don't bother using CG on a posted piece until you have repeatedly tested it on trash pieces, to make sure it can look OK.
