I never knew how much hard work was involved in being a Drill Instructor. That is, until my husband voluntarily chose to become a DI, here on Parris Island. These DI's go through a grueling, 12 week training also known as drill instructor school. Afterwards, these DI's are away from their families on an average 120 hours a week! for 12 weeks at a time. No weekends off. No government holidays,...nada. After their recruits graduate as marines, the drill instructor may get on an average 1-2 weeks off, Before starting 12 weeks on the recruits, all over again. For the next three years! - There are no words to quite describe it. I've never seen harder working people. I'm very proud of them ALL!
I made this movie for my husband after a very tiring and long week of training recruits.
He really enjoyed it. He has always said, he thinks of his family for his motivation and drive to "lean forward".
He's the best husband and father a family could ever ask for!
Thank you Lord Jesus!
And I thank my husband for standing firm in his faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. And guiding this family in the truth of the Lord.

  • Semper Fi. Thank you gentlemen.

  • Seriously, the Marines should recruit more DI so that each DI doesn't have to work so hard. They're humans and they have families too...just my personal thought.

  • My cover is off to you and your husband, ma'am. Semper fidelis and ductus exemplo.

  • @MarineDIwife Great video, thank you. Many blessing for you and for your family. Eloy

  • God bless Mam, I honestly don't know how the hell those men (and women) do what they do. I don't even think any of my DI's slept during my 3 months of bootcamp. They are truly amazing, as well as you and all the other family members that support them.

It's their devotion to duty and training that will get me though my upcoming deployment.
