This Metal Flake Green tandem DUMP TRUCK is owned by M.Tursi Trucking out of Newark, New Jersey. I was lookin around in 2004 for a old Autocar because these were the trucks I drove when I started out over 30 years ago at the same time wanted to be different by the moderen day standard. Call me crazy but if I was going to drive one of these old Dinosaures every day It would need an extreme make over. So I found this 1975 Autocar DC9964 with just that in mind and I had gotten the truck in early 2004. It started out as tipical plain Jane war dog with a small cam 290 Cummins and a 13 speed trans. I had blown that motor after turning the pump up and running the truck for 2 years and put a NTC 335 that I had laying around as a spare in its place for a short time and wound up spining a main bearing on the crank on that motor and finally put a BIG CAM 400 in the truck thats why the truck always sound diferent in the older vidios when it had small cams in it. It had a 13 speed road ranger from new and not much power and a top speed BALLS OUT of only 68 miles per hour as a stock truck from the factory. I had to make some changes along the way. It is now powerwd by a NTC 400 BIG CAM Cummins with a Industrial Turbo and some other tricks to get a little more horse power. The Jake brake pours in to a 7 inch Bull haulers stack with no muflers. The trans is a 13 speed dubble overdrive Transmition with a 3 speed auxzilary trans that I added to the trucks drive line so now its a 2 stick truck. The rears were changed from a set of top loaded 58.000 pound with 724 ratio to a set of front loaded 52,000 pound Rockwells with 614 gear ratio under Hendrickson spring suspention. The wheels were changed from the big 11.24 tube tires with heavey steel rims and were replaced with 10 Accuride aluminum rims wraped with 11.24.5 Continental tubeless tires.this truck can now run 85 miles per hour at 2000 rpm, but the motor can turn 2400 rpm and do 100 MPH. The truck is a little heavy at 26,000 pounds The cab has some small changes such as a Kenworth air cleaner and drop bowtie sunvisor,Peterbuilt battery box and Pete. head lamps mounted on J bracets off the radiator,a Western Star air ride cab set up was instaled in place of the rear stock cab mounts. Then a bumper cover and cab sheid front cover was made of polished Stainless steel and menny LED ligths are on board. IT has the original Summit aluminum dump body that came with the truck from new with a set of Train horns mounted on the driver side dimond plate mud gaurd, and dont forget a loud sound system for the long haul. I run the truck on a day to day basis in the North New Jersey area hauling mostly dirt and top soil. The truck gets lots of attention out on road and on job sites. Its fun to drive and now pretty dependable and every day brings a new adventure. I will be bringing the truck to a few shows per year just for fun and to keep it in ship shape. I will be going to the (East Coast Large Cars) truck show in the Sussex County Fair Grounds in June and at Raceway Park in Englishtown N.J. in September at the (Deisel Truckin Nationals). "See you in the pits".

Mister, I cant believe you haul rip rap rock in that truck. That thing belongs in parades and truck shows not in a rock quarry. Nice truck.
