i done a cheat called SEAWAYS which lets you go on water, then i went to that island and found that helicopter, but they are very hard to fly, i crashed about 5 seconds after that. lol

Many people seem to have problems with how to fly helicopters. I guess it takes some practice. I've played this game so many times over the years that I don't remember how it was not knowing how to fly the heli. :-)

how can you go forwards with the helicopter, I can ony go upwards and to the sides

I play this game on a PC and in the PC version the key to tilt the helicopter forward is NUM 9 and NUM 6 to tilt it backward (if I remember correctly). In order to fly straight ahead and not crash you have to press both the key to fly up and the key to tilt the helicopter forward.
