Technology is being researched right now for "True" Wireless Charging. True Wireless charging only requires a Magnetic Pad and a built in circuit chip that can conduct electric shocks within the mobile device.
You can then also send a signal from your mobile phone to a satellite company and have radio wave signals be sent to your mobile phone for 10% charging.

AWESOME! I thought the first(not so innovative, really)innovation from their MAT was...okay, I thought it wasy stupid and couldn't fathem spending money on more wires and bulky accessories, but THIS, this is something I would defenitly consider for my Storm and moms Bold for quick charging .
Congrats! A step in the right direction, im excited to see these in retail stores ASAP> (regardless of the date they stated anyway Lol).

@lotsblocks pay attention to the video, its now 69.99 if you buy the powermat + the new battery... 100 dollars for the pad and 50 each accesory is for the 09 accesories... cmon man at least watch the video...

The company is powermat, the receiver inside is called the "power pack".

Hope to see this for my Storm 2. I am glad this option won't hinder the use of my Otter Box Defender, as I can't give that up. Good work PowerMat!
