Grassroots Education Movement (GEM) stormed the January 2009 Chicago Board of Education meeting. Their demand was to stop the privatization of Chicago's schools. Due to the actions of GEM, 6 schools were saved from closing, phase-out, turnaround or consolidation.
The best thing public schools do is to funnel taxpayer money through unions into the hands of politicians. I'm proud to say that none of my children will ever attend a public school...and the funny thing is, my seven year old quite literally reads better than most students who are graduating from inner city public schools.
These kids deserve better...
Taxpayers deserve better...

lol at the amount of Americans who are actually against the survival of the unions.
Actively partaking in your own enslavement and exploitation. Way to lap up that Fox news, you retarded sheep.

CPS is done until the people get the schools back from the union thugs. School choice now.

you know, having someone run school system who never even taught or worked in a school is like having a rabbi who isn't jewish, an imam who's never read the Quran, or a pastor who is an athiest....
and they keep saying TEACHERS are not doing their jobs.
for you all who don't know, they run Chicago Public Schools like a chain of Walmarts or McDonald's.
