  • Sorry phatmatt, but I completely disagree with your opinion. Kevin has one of the most unique, ethereal and wonderful voices in the music industry. This video is not representational, check out any of his solo albums, especially his latest with Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson. Awesome stuff Kevin.

  • I love Kevin. This song suits him well. It's so different without Steve, but BNL will press on and still be amazing. This video proved that.

  • @marvinriscos Hey thanks, I'll check it out this weekend when I have some free time.

  • @TheLibertas2 I understand where you are coming from. This is definitely not his music or where he's comfortable. Kevin's voice suits his solo music the best. In my opinion he shouldn't do BNL songs in a solo gig unless they're the ones he's written, mostly because when I go and see Kevin Hearn live I'll want to see Kevin Hearn and not the Barenaked Ladies. If you haven't listen to Driftwood by him. You'll see where I'm coming from when I say his voice fits with his music.

  • @ohmycaribou <mfw "roody-poo"

  • @marvinriscos on a second listen it isn't as bad as I originally thought, but I want to be clear I don't enjoy it all. Not that I dislike it, but I don't find it pleasant in a way that a singing voice should be from my opinion.

But again if you think his voice is fine, more power too you, but his voice is fine objectively? No. His voice is terrible objectively? Also no, but I certainly don't like it and I'm not wrong in that. And neither are you for enjoying it. Just preferences buddy.

  • I can't believe that some of you roody-poos have never heard Kevin sing before. He sings on most of their albums!

  • He has a particular voice. I started to appreciate it recently.

  • Kevin's voice is so unique. I love it. This song suits him so well. Thanks for posting this =)

  • @TheLibertas2 His voice is fine.

  • Are you kidding me? That's his voice? Oh my gosh, take a seat buddy. No more please.

  • they should do this more often
