How do the clutch plates go together? do you start with the first one in the rotor with its bevel up then a driver plate then a driven plate with bevel towards the rotor i.e )¦(¦)¦(¦)
or )¦)¦) with the bevel always up. I tried it the first way and the clutch is still not letting the gears engage. I tried to get advice and was told to buy a new recon. but it seems that this clutch is as yours still good for its age. Not slipping and really good.

Sorry for the late reply, there is a place at derby that sells new clutch plates, the chap said only to replace the curved plates, which would cut the cost in half. In mine they were originaly fitted one facing up then the next facing down, as in your first example. So thats how they went back. Good luck.

Im doing a green wide wing up around 1941. I know some one with a ex RN Fordson N in the right colour.

I'd be interested in learning more about the ex RN model N you know about, I've seen a RAF industrial but not a RN.
This tractor is now running and the clutch seems ok.
