It might be hard to notice it if you haven't played the game. It might be hard to notice even if you have. Anyway, this video demonstrates an exploit with certain spells such as Beklam's Diminuating Calculus. I believe other spells that work in the same way (have no visible projectile and no animation before connecting the hit) are also exploitable.
Basically, you target an enemy and rapidly tap the right mouse button to cast the spell over and over on the enemy. This will make the enemy unable to move forward, while still letting you expend turns damaging it. Keep in mind, however, that this does not stop other enemies from moving, meaning you can get assaulted by other enemies nearby if you're not careful.
This is really handy if you have deadly high HP enemies on your tail and your turns wouldn't be enough to fend it off normally.
Cool story: The game was on Going Rogue (hard mode) + Permadeath and I beat the game on this very save. Was my first time beating the game too.
