Skip to 7:55 for when the fight begins.
For the first Half of the video I have to kill enemies I killed before. I do this so i can get full ammo and not worry about being attacked by enemies.
This is one of the most difficult sidequests in the game (most difficult one i can think of off the top of my head). What makes this difficult is that there are 2 bosses with elements on them, and they have good armor for their level, and they are generally above your level when you encounter them. I always suggest completing sledge's safehouse first at least before attacking them.
In multiplayer it's easier, because you can have one person distract the other enemy and it's easy to dodge. However if you have bad ping, you wont be able to dodge the attacks.
Make sure you are full on ammo before attacking them, elemental weapons (especially corrosive) are extremely rare at this point in the game. They help a lot, however at this point usually 1/5 runs i'll have an elemental weapon, meaning I use the clipper most of the time if someone else didnt take it in co-op. Even when you do find an elemental weapon at this stage in the game, it's usually soo weak it's not worth bothering with.
Usually I kill moe first (fire guy). However, this playthrough I didn't get any good weapons for killing skags, so I used the clipper to kill marley first.
You will generally run out of ammo on at least one weapon when fighting these two. Unless you spend forever and time it just right for them to open their mouths. If you are playing on a friend's server you wont be able to time it if you have an average internet connection due to them opening their mouths for only half a second most of the time. As It's extremely rare that they roar at you. However, if you abuse the AI a bit, and get somewhere they cant get to or have difficulties getting to, they tend to roar almost constantly.
Magnums work wonders on these guys usually, but the magnums I got were terrible in damage compared to what they are usually like. Shotguns are also awesome, but once again mine was pretty weak.
Aim for the fleshy parts on their body to do the most damage. If you have a good corrosive weapon aim for the armored parts. Try shooting their tongues for crits (just inside of the mouth doesn't count, it has to be the tongue) when they open their mouths for a half second. Since this is such a small target, and doesnt last long, i generally ignore it and shoot the back of their legs where there's not much armor, as it does about 1/3 the damage of a crit which is enough to deal enough damage to kill them.
If your party is able to defeat these two enemies this early on in the game, you can handle anything else the game throws at you with ease.
