Yea but what was the car of 1993 ? Yea that's right it was the Nissan Micra :)
-
So did the rear passenger essentially break its neck?
-
@CarPro1993 you rigth , but you have to compare the taurus with the camry .....and the yaris with fiesta. the taurus problem is to heavy for her own structure. i have a yaris and i hope to dont hit face to face with a taurus or other big heavy car.

@98MAzdaMilleniaS taurus is a camry size, for the yaris take the festiva crash test. i see the focus video and its worst than yaris ...
-
I'm amazed that the firewall didn't serve protection! Oh, yeah...I forgot. It's a Toyota.

@98MAzdaMilleniaS I guess you right.. I didnt really look that close :)

@marcorodamien
At least both occupants in the Ford Taurus would survive.

@CarPro1993 ??? if the taurus is worst ...... less people survive. normaly the best is safer and worst is less safe. I see the taurus video and is worst then a little yaris. so taurus is unsafe. more chance to die in a taurus

What's very important is the occupant performance. In the Taurus, even though there was severe structural damage, the driver's and rear passenger's injury levels were relatively low. In the Yaris, there was also severe structure damage; the firewall separated from the side frame. The driver may have fared slightly better, but the rear occupant would've been killed. Imagine that being a family member.
