@Tobolococo it was imaginary so they weren't native americans really, but they could have been. i forget the ending but this entire movie was to watch and forge your own ideas..perhaps the main reason why he chose not to fight was so that they would spare the child if he sacrificed himself.

I had trouble interpreting this movie, to be honest it seems like the film was created out of smite for Christianity. I liked the movie, it tugged at my emotions. One question though, are the people at the end native americans, or mouris?
