Move over cronut, there is a new cookie and pie dessert in town and it's called the Piekie, which is a mixture of pie crust and filling with cookies inside! In this recipe tutorial, I make 6 different kinds of piekies. Recipe is below! SUBSCRIBE! :)
Just put between two, small, defrosted circular pre-made pie or tart crusts (preferably the crust is sweet or has additional sugar added) different combinations of cookies and softer fillings! Close with a fork and make a small vent in the top.
For example, here is a list of different types of piekies. You can dust with granulated sugar before baking or icing sugar afterwards. Combine:
Traditional piekies: uncooked cookie dough and chocolate, caramel or ganache.
Pieeos: oreos, chocolate and marshmallow fluff.
Pigestives: Digestive cookies and cherry pie filling.
Pietarts: Poptarts, apple sauce, caramel and cinnamon. (vary depending on flavor)
P'mores: graham crackers, marshmallow fluff and chocolate.
Pienut: glazed doughnut (donut) and jelly!
Bake for 375 from 25-30 minutes or until crust is golden brown and flasky on top, not mushy. Optional: serve with ice cream!
