Harvey Weinstein recently wrote an open letter to all filmmakers to sign a petition to protest Roman Polanski's arrest for child rape, and to call for his immediate release. Mr. Weinstein called what Roman Polanski did a "so-called crime". This is my response to that, and some addresses to the concerned parties.

Please let Mr. Weinstein and the D.A'.s office know how you feel about his "open call" to "all" filmmakers. Thank you.

  • Apologies for the end title you can't read. It is from an interview Mr. Polanski gave in 1979, a year after he fled from justice. He said:

If I had killed somebody, it wouldnt have had so much appeal to the press, you see? But f—ing, you see, and the young girls. Judges want to f— young girls. Juries want to f— young girls. Everyone wants to f— young girls!
