This is the problem with Harvest Moon.

When your chickens run out of feed, the animal shop is closed.

On the last day of Summer, when you want sooo bad to get a head start on your Fall crops, the seed shop is closed.

When you finally get enough money to get your last house upgrade, tah-durr, the woodshop is closed. >>
