@zebport i think id have to disagree with that as well, all you have to do is look at him and listen, theres soul in that. And being a bass player doesnt have to mean fitting in and blending with a band, although that just usually plays a huge part of it.

i don't know what all he does, but this guy should consider doing more soundtrack work. very atmospheric.

@ThanatopicalRape My Question came up because of the lightnes he plays. It sure looks like someone just improvise nice music. Therefore was that question. Please look at it again, and You will notice, that I only was interested in Manring and his music. Now I learned more, now I see clearer. Cheers.

As You see on my reply to gebass6, I am able to change my mind. I didn't mean my question as offense of any kind, but I didn't know Mr. Manring at all. In the löast few months I got me some pieces of his musik, and all I can say about this: Awesome! I had a question about Mr. Manring, I did get an answer, andf I did look for further Information. No problem at all. :D ;-)

@The1Kong I can tell you're not a troll, so I will also reply to this - This is in NO way "fiddling around" I assure you...Every single song of his, he can (and STILL does) recreate Live PERFECTLY...I mean, this video itself is obviously live, so this is a prime example. There is an insane level of structure and what I suppose you could call "Quantum Music Theory" in each of his songs. And because of his 2 Signature Bass's De-Tuners, his songs are 100% unique and original. He cannot be matched.

Manring's music reverberates in my skull and my chest in a way that I can't really describe... like it goes through my ears, but doesn't go to my brain to get processed. Instead, it goes to my whole body, and my brain says nothing but "close your eyes".
