Pandit Bharat Vyas ji accepted the challenge of writing the whole song in absolute Hindi as the film subject was mythological and genuine success is the history.

This song remains one of the sweetest romantic duets and with most dignified chaste Hindi lyrics by Bharat Vyas and wonderful rendition by Lata and Manna Da. It can never lose the power of pleasing an aesthetically developed mind even after 100 years. Hats off to those great people!!!

Laxmi-Pyare worked as assistants to the genius comoser and producer from south Late Adinaryana Rao, husband of Anjali Devi, the legendary actress. Their first Hindi venture Swarna Sundar, released in 1960 was a super hit. All the songs, especially the raga malaika--Kuhu Kuhu Bole Koyaliya by Lata and Rafi, stunned the then legendary composers in 1959-60 because it was from a south Indian using pure Hindustani Ragaas. Sati Savitri also was their film for which Laxmi-Pyare composed the songs.

no doubt it is pure hindi and the words breathe life into the song!Bharat vyas ji was a great poet who enriched films rather than filmi dunia finding Vyasji!
i just cant get over the sheer majic of the words just shows how special people can transform language into a spectacularly effective weapon to pierce our hearts!
no doubt udru is a very delicate and flowery language but special people like Niraj ji and Bharat Vyas ji and Subhadra Kumari Chouhan, can and have woven magic
